Takaaki Sano
At the age of 13, he stopped going to school and lived a reclusive life for about seven years. At the age of 16, he was forced to be hospitalized in a closed ward, and due to the side effects of the medication, he became unconscious and seriously ill (to this day, he continues to take photographs in order to embody the scenery he saw in the confines of his consciousness). After being discharged from the hospital, he was taught by manga artist Shinichi Ishizuka (masterpieces: "Gaku" and "BLUE GIANT"), and entered and graduated from a university in the United States. In 2014, he secretly uploaded to Tumblr a photo of the sunset he had taken when he woke up during his hikikomori days, and one of the photos caught the attention of Grimm Grimm, a singer-songwriter living in London, and used it as the album cover. Adopted as. In 2015, while working as a science instructor at the Shanghai Japanese School, his photographic works caught the attention of C.C. (Chen Debin), the owner of the gallery 'DA ATTIC', and in December of the same year he held a one-month solo exhibition 'Sano Takaaki Photo Exhibition "Hikari" will be held. He mainly attracts attention from young people living in Shanghai, and his self-published photo book ``Hikari'' sells out. In the same month, he was asked to exhibit his work at an event by DJ Kaoru Inoue (a.k.a. Chari Chari) held at Hangzhou Liyi Youth Hostel, and since then, he has continued to entertain guests with his works. . After returning to Japan in 2016, he has held photo exhibitions every year mainly in Tokyo. Shortly after his first solo exhibition in Japan, he began taking photographs of domestic and international artists. In 2021, he won the IMAnext "MEMORIES" sponsored by Amana (selected by Tim Barber). In December 2023, the two-person exhibition “Imozuru Shiki” with photographer Ikushun and a singer songwriter Grimm Grimm was held at JOINT Harajuku, was realized through the skillful use of experimental music and photographs of the two of them. His photo books "Hikari" (2015) and "Consciousness" (2018) were both self-published.
佐野 貴明
東京都足立区出身の写真家。
13歳で不登校になり、約7年間の引きこもり生活を送る。後に漫画家となる石塚真一より勉学の教授を受け、米国の大学へと進学。その後、上海、杭州、東京にて個展を開催。16歳で経験した精神病棟での臨死体験をモチーフに、国内外のアーティスト写真を精力的に手掛ける。アマナ主催IMAnext『MEMORIES』入賞。上海日本人学校小学部理科講師、創価高校英語講師を経て、現在フリーランス。
2021年IMA next ショートリスト入選（ティム・バーバー選）。
